The Unified Jazz Ensemble, 6004 Hollins Ave, Baltimore, MD
The Unified Jazz Ensemble is a dynamic group of masterful musicians based in Annapolis, Maryland that have toured the US as NEA sponsored artists. They have years of experience educating and entertaining diverse audiences. The UJE has performed before the first lady of the United States and the National Council on the Arts in Washington as well as at numerous jazz festivals, and world-renowned jazz clubs. They have shared the stage with jazz greats such as Milt Jackson, Charlie Bird, and Bobby McFerrin.
UJE has four CD’s to their credit: Unified Jazz Ensemble in 1993, Now We Are Five in 1994, Small Town Stories in 1996, New Slant in 1997 and Unified Jazz Ensemble featuring Felicia Carter Live at 49 West in 2005.
The members of the UJE have served as faculty and visiting clinicians at over 100 primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. They can be seen every Tuesday night at 49 West in Annapolis where they have delighted their local fans for years.
