Over that course of time, I got very good on all three instruments. Vibes was the instrument I happened to get best at.” Warren attended the Peabody Prepatory for eight years studying classical music with former Baltimore Symphony Orchestra member Leo LePage. During his high school years at the Baltimore School for the Arts, Warren studied with current Baltimore Symphony Orchestra member John Locke and expanded his musical interest to ragtime and jazz.  After graduating from Baltimore School for the Arts in June of 1997, Warren atended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. During his time at Berklee, Warren studied with Carribean Jazz Vibraphonist Dave Samuels and vibist Ed Saindon and was helped in his jazz exploration by artists like Jeremy Pelt, John Lamkin, Darren Barrett, Wayne Escoffery, Richard Johnson, Kendrick Scott, Walter Smith, Jason Palmer, Rashawn Ross and many others. Warren became an active performer around the Boston area, gigging frequently all three instruments and eventually leading a quintet with Boston-based trumpeter Jason Palmer at the historic jazz club Wallys Café, where Warren was the house drummer for two years, every Friday and Saturday. After graduating from Berklee in 2001, Warren became an active musician on the Boston local scene. He was then hired as an instructor in the percussion department at Berklee, teaching private lessons on the Vibraphone and Drums, and a beginner’s keyboard class for entering freshman drumset majors. After two years of teaching, Warren headed back to Baltimore to start his main goal of becoming a full time performing musician. Since leaving Berklee as a teacher, Warren has performed, recorded and toured with the Rachael Price Group, Alto Saxophonist Tia Fuller, the Donal Fox Group,  Terri Lyne Carrington, Bobby Watson's "Live and Learn" Sextet,  Karriem Riggins "Virtuoso Experience", Christian McBride & "Inside Straight" and the SF Jazz Collective and many others. He is in great demand by many jazz artists and groups and he maintains a very active touring schedule, which have taken him all over the US and to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Warren has a number of impressive recordings as a leader. Warren's first two records were on the M&I label (based in Japan) and included "Incredible Jazz Vibes" featuring  Mulgrew Miller on Piano, Vicente Archer on Bass and Kendrick Scott on Drums and "Black Wolf" with Miller, Rodney Whitaker on Bass and Jeff "Tain" Watts on Drums.  Warren also self produced 2 CD’s one entitled "RAW” and the other "Chano Pozo".  These recoding feature some of his favorite players including Darren Barrett,  Walter Smith, Jason Palmer, Plume, Lawrence Fields, Kris Funn, Peter Slavov Tim Green,  John Lamkin III,  Dana Hawkins, Louis Cat,  Delandria Mills Tabreeca Woodside and Integriti Reeves on Vocals. Warren recently signed with the Mack Ave recording label and two CDs, Warren Wolf and Wolfgang have been released on that label, featuring sidemen like pianists Peter Martin, Benny Green, Aaron Goldberg and label mate Aaron Diehl, bassists Christian McBride, and Kris Funn and drummers Lewis Nash, Greg Hutchinson and Billy Williams, Jr, as well as reed men, Tim Green and Jeremy Pelt. These CD projects under the Mack Ave label admirably represent Warren Wolf’s singular blend of efflorescent chops, muscular attack, lyric sensibility, harmonic acumen, encyclopedic knowledge of hardcore jazz vocabulary, tireless groove and downright musicality. “I’m trying to bring forth what most cats did back in the day, coming out right at you swinging, nice and hard, not a lot of hard melodies or weird time signatures,” Wolf says. “I like to play really hard, fast and kind of flashy. I like to take it to a whole other level” Peter Martin is an acclaimed jazz pianist, composer, arranger and educator. His touring career has taken him to six continents numerous times. In January 2011 Peter performed with a select group of jazz artists at the White House for a State Dinner hosted by President Obama, and he returned to perform for the Governor’s Dinner in February 2012 for the first family and other guests. Peter performed on and arranged Dianne Reeves’ Grammy® winning release A Little Moonlight. He also appeared in George Clooney’s 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck as well as being the featured pianist and an arranger on the Grammy® winning soundtrack. Peter has performed, toured and recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Chris Botti, Betty Carter, Christian McBride and Joshua Redman as well as the Berlin Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Peter attended the Juilliard School of Music and is presently on the faculty of Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville). He has performed workshops and master classes at institutions worldwide, including Oberlin College, Northwestern University, Duke University, the Carnegie Hall Professional Training Workshops, Steinway Piano Gallery, the Rotterdam Conservatory, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow. “one of the most underrated pianists in jazz today … Martin plays with the kind of daring and excitement that marks a distinctive personality on the keyboard.” - Washington Post “Peter Martin’s artistry is nothing short of extraordinary. To sing with him is sublime – To listen to him play is a transcendent experience.” - Dianne Reeves  Akua Allrich  - Jazz vocalist and DC-native Akua Allrich has proven herself to be a musician of extraordinary talent and crowd-moving passion. With finesse and charisma, this vocalist, composer and teacher, has successfully etched out a place for her unique musical expression, electrifying audiences with sold-out performances. The launching of her freshman album, A Peace of Mine, and second album, Uniquely Standard, Akua Allrich Live! has earned the young artist’s music and performances international acclaim, including distribution in Japan. Akua Allrich has inspired music lovers from all walks, who enjoy her exceptional work and expect nothing short of brilliant artistry from each of her offerings. Herman Burney, "has the complete package … he is extremely talented, he possesses a reverence for the music, technical ability, and (to top it off) he is a genuinely fine person.  The world needs his music and I am happy to count him among my friends" writes John Clayton.  Born in Washington, DC, Herman was raised in the arts-nurturing state of North Carolina, specifically Winston-Salem.  Herman grew up in Church listening to Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, and James Cleveland; during these years, he played clarinet, drums, and tuba.  Herman was initiated into "Jazz" by Bill Bright in Winston-Salem. The Bill Bright Quintet, gave Herman his first gigs on acoustic bass and started him on his Jazz journey. Herman traveled all over the world to establish his impressive list of performance credentials as bassist. He was an integral part of Freddy Cole’s band for nearly 5yrs and played on many of his recordings, including “Rio de Janiero Blue” and the Grammy nominated CD “Merry Go Round”; Herman was also Rene Marie's bassist for over 3yrs while free-lancing with various musicians around the US.  He has performed with Nnenna Freelon, Marcus Roberts, Wynton Marsalis, Sonny Fortune, Harry Pickens, Eric Alexander, Wycliffe Gordon, Monty Alexander, Etta Jones, Oscar Brown, Red Holloway, Natalie Cole, Cedar Walton, and Eric Reed.  Hank Jones, Milt Hinton, Ellis Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Terrell Stafford, Frank Wess, Carl Allen, and Etta Jones, and many, many others. Herman created The BassMint in 1996 as an all-bass ensemble for documentation, performance, and education with specific emphasis on the double bass.  Herman says “The bass IS the backbone of all Western music … we are the foundation.”  Herman performs regularly with his own group which ranges from duo to quartet; the group’s composition varies “as the music dictates” but regularly features pianists such as Vince Evans, Eric Reed, Tommy Gill, or Kevin Bales, drummers Eric Kennedy, Steve Williams, or Quentin Baxter, saxophonist Gary Thomas, trumpeters Lenny Foy or Terrell Stafford, trombonists Reginald Cyntje, Ronald Westray, or Wycliffe Gordon, and vocalists Melva Houston, Lavenia Nesmith, Imani, or Rene Marie. When asked to describe Herman, bassist and educator Rufus Reid says that Herman is “one of the finest bassists on the music scene today.”
