These artists will not be performing anywhere else in the Baltimore-DC area for the remainder of this year, except at Jazzway.       This a rare opportunity for Jazzway to present two of the most innovative musicians performing jazz today. JD Walter is a jazz singer’s singer - a purist and innovator. His style has been compared to many vocal titans, but it is uniquely his own and he has become a singular phenomenon on the music scene.  (And he is reported to be Kurt Elling’s favorite singer!) Orrin Evans has been recognized as one of the most distinctive and inventive pianists of his generation and has earned the titles of pianist, composer, bandleader, teacher, producer and arranger. He is a two-time Grammy nominee, Pew Fellow, leader of the Captain Black Big Band and soon to be pianist with the wildly popular group, BadPlus. They will be joined by Baltimore favorite and fiercely dynamic bassist, Kris Funn and Philly based drummer, Byron Landham who is on the faculty of Temple University. The tickets for this performance will be sold at a discount.
