Vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist, Warren Wolf performs for Jazzway’s 11th anniversary with outstanding guests, pianist, Aaron Goldberg and alto saxophonist, Tim Green (runner-up in the 2008 Thelonious Monk Competition). Hailed by Down Beat magazine for his “quick-witted harmonic reflexes, fluid command of line and cut-to-the-chase sense of narrative logic,” Aaron Goldberg has made his name worldwide as one of jazz’s most compelling pianists, and his passion for swing, melody and groove are evident on his 5 acclaimed trio albums and over 80 more as a co-leader and collaborator, including those with Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Guillermo Klein. Tim Green is a Baltimore native, Manhattan School of Music (BA) and Thelonious Monk Institute (MA) graduate. His diverse performance career includes playing with some of the most recognized names in jazz, gospel, R&B, hip-hop, and pop music, including Christian McBride, Eric Reed, Mulgrew Miller, Jon Faddis, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Michael Buble, Queen Latifah, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and Yolanda Adams playing in venues including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the White House, and the Village Vanguard. He has recently become a member of the teaching faculty for jazz studies at Peabody Conservatory.
